Emojis behave like text characters in most documents, which makes them easy to move, copy and resize. Exported documents can display them differently if the destination system uses another emoji font.

Apple, Google, Microsoft, Samsung and individual applications can draw the same Unicode emoji in different styles. Colour, facial details and spacing may vary even though the underlying character is identical. Check a sensitive or important message in the app where it will be published, and use clear accompanying words whenever interpretation matters.
